Louisa is a large, mostly rural county northwest of Richmond. Comprised of 514 square miles with 35,860 residents, it borders Lake Anna on its north end. The eastern part of the county is more of a Richmond commute; the western portion is influenced by the Charlottesville market.
Interesting trivia: Louisa was in the national news in late 2011 by being the epicenter of a 5.8 magnitude earthquake.
